Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to visit and explore more cities within the United States while meeting interesting locals. I sort of got stuck in New York after college, and I decided to use my weekends to start exploring some of the other wonders of the good ole' US of A (especially the midwest as well as the south)

I'm new to couch surfing, but it was recommended to me by a friend as a great way to meet people, get off the tourist trail and spend some time with locals, and maybe make a few friends along the way. I'm really excited about this!

Interests

Where do I start? The world is so vast and life is so short, I prefer to be a jack of all trades and master of none.

I've been dancing ballet and playing piano for over 15 years so I would say I really enjoy the classical arts.
I dabble in photograhpy, soccer, and making ice cream cakes from scratch!
I love traveling and reading, not to mention reading about travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate all genres of music

The most influential book I've read this year was "Man's Search for Meaning" - it changed my whole outlook on life.

I'm really into sci-fi and marvel movies. I loved gravity, prometheus, and all the iron man movies, and I am looking forward to October's release of the Martian (would recommend the book also). As for TV shows, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and True detective are personal favorites.
