Hi! My name is Maria Celeste, I’m an English teacher and I’m from Bahia Blanca, a city in the south of the Buenos Aires Province in Argentina. I’d say I’m an eclectic and curious person. I’m a bit shy when I first meet someone but I open myself when I start feeling comfortable. I really enjoy meeting new people and places and learning new things. My passion is British history, culture and literature. Although I work only as a teacher now, I worked in a pub for several years. I did many jobs there including waitressing, bartending and co-managing it. I had a wonderful time working there. I also participated in the organization of some electronic parties (raves) in my city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like several kinds of music. I’m really into electronic music, John Digweed, Sasha, James Holden and of course Hernan Cattaneo are among my favourite Djs. However, I also like other genres such as rock, pop, classical, or jazz. Some of my favourite bands are The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin' , The Sex Pistols, The Beatles, The Doors and Joy Division.
My favourite film of all times is Star Wars, the whole saga. I'm a true Star Wars fan. I like sci-fi a lot but I like films in general.
I cannot choose a favourite book. Nevertheless I can name some of my favourite authors: Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Charles Bukowski, Louisa Alcott, Jules Verne, and how not to mention William Shakespeare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a parachute jump two or three years ago. I think that may qualify as amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish or English . I would love to learn anything my hosts want to teach me about their culture. We can share a cocktail made by myself, some good music and a nice chat.
