About Me
I enjoy meeting people, travelling and learning about their culture. I traveled last summer in 2018 to Spain and Portugal for 3 months plus and now embarking another journey to South America (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil) for 4 months starting August 08 until December 2019. I would greatly appreciate if you can host me for a day, or a few days in your city or town, I would be forever be grateful and can help you with little chores like cooking and sharing meals etc. or even with learning or practicing your English. I am a mature person, very tidy, respectful of people and their space, don't smoke. I speak little Spanish and will try to learn some Portuguese.
I'm also quite a cool n easy-going old lady.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did many little amazing acts of kindness and received many as well. An unforgettable experience I had was travelling late at night in Asia two years ago, clueless on what time I'd be arriving at my destination which was almost midnight without any hotel reservations. There were very few people on the bus and there was the creepy bus conductor who was making some subtle passes and insisted that he'd find me a place to stay. A mid-age couple, I befriended earlier warned me that the bus's last stop at midnight will be at the middle of nowhere before I could take the boat to my destination; they asked me to stay with them for the night and take the boat in the morning. I was hesitant but took their invitation for fear of being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
The couple had five children and a very old grandma that lived in a a very small 10'x15' home with galvanized iron roofing. They had a 3'x6' bamboo bed which slept 3-4 people and the rest slept on a mat on the floor close to the bed. They all slept on the mat that night and they gave me their bed which I refused but they insisted. I was so tired that I had my eyes closed for 5 minutes, when a powerful typhoon (storm) hit the region. I could hear the strong rain dropping like small rocks on the roof and the noise of the very strong wind blowing through the trees, despite all the noises, I fell soundly asleep. This was the first time I became a couch surfer, unofficially..
Other things I thought was amazing is being able to road bike (being a commuter not a hard core biker) in Vancouver almost daily in minus degree windy and chilly weather. There was one year, that I'd jumping in the freezing ocean after; kind of crazy but quite awesome and invigorating.
