I come from a small town in southern Manitoba, Canada, that is surrounded by farmlands, and where the sky is expansive.

Maria has a BA in English Literature from the Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In recent years she has travelled around some, staying for brief periods in Guatemala, and in Peru. In the summertimes Maria has spent time working at summer camps for kids and for adults with disabilities. Her favourite colour is orange and she sometimes likes to think about circuses.
