My name is Maria Hernandez and I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico. My favorite thing to do is going to the beach and exploring marine life but a really close second is traveling through cities. City streets always transform my way of seeing the world. I always love to see how cultures interact with each other and love to share my own with others as well.

Interests

I am really interested in cultures and languages. I love to travel and really would like to go anywhere I have the opportunity to go. I love architecture, food and cooking, museums, but most of all I enjoy walking around and seeing how people live out their lives in places so different from each other and realizing how much we all have in common.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Russia for two months as an intense way to learn Russian and it was an amazing experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I speak three languages (Spanish, English, and Russian) and will gladly converse with anyone. I am also very open with my Puerto Rican culture and would definitely be interested in exchanging recipes and music.
