About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student pursuing my JD/MBA at Howard University in DC. I am a New York City native, but spent 8 years in New Hampshire for high school and college. I am 28, vegetarian, easygoing, respectful, and friendly. I love people with goofy/dorky senses of humor (see my 1st grade toothless photo up top :) ) I enjoy meeting new people, yoga, docus, reading, spicy food, trying to keep up with current events, and trying to travel more.

PHILOSOPHY

peace, love, learning. and be nice to people! i consider myself somewhat of an urban hippie. i prefer organic, GMO free food, i like being green and self-sustainable in as many ways as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My high school best friend Jose (age 29) and I are travelling around Europe for a month (May 8-June 5) and really want to get to know locals and not just be your average tourists. We are both relaxed and vegetarians/vegans. We are both from New York City, but I live in DC now and he lives in Hartford, CT and owns a couple of houses out there. Our goal is to experience culture and new things while meeting lots of new people.

PS Jose is the guy in the pics with me :)

Interests

yoga, vegeterian/vegan foods esp baked goods and ice cream, school, advancing my career, visiting NYC as much as my schedule allows to stay connected w family and friends, conspiracy theories (hey, they're fun!), feminist blogs, Neil deGrasse Tyson, space, and coffee!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to boarding school for high school and had a weekly radio show called "Hip to the Hop" (please dont judge me by the corny name!) at the school's student-run radio station. I've climbed 2 mountains in New England. And I grew up in New York City, and that's pretty amazing :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

lots of people hate on vegetarian/vegan food, but i promise you Jose and I can cook/bake you something yummy as your surfers. I also like to think that we make pretty good conversation, are easy to talk to, and like having a good laugh.
