About Me
Hi everyone,
I'm Maria from Germany, currently living in Canberra, Australia with my fiancé who is Australian. I'm an open-minded person, who loves to travel and be out and about... living day by day and never regret, this is exactly what describes me most. During my free time I love going for runs, walks or hikes... I regularly do yoga, love reading books and like exploring new places. I enjoy cooking and baking - it feels like meditation to me. Furthermore, I'm 90% vegan (but I'm not dogmatic about it, although I won't have meat) and try to feed my body by the Ayurvedic principles. I studied Ayurveda, one of the oldest medical health systems, during Covid and also did my Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in 2022. Both of these led me into the direction of finding my own business: TRIKONANDA - Ayurvedify your life, food & travel.
I'm really looking forward to connecting with you through CS, meeting for a cuppa, experiencing new things, adapting grateful habits and writing lifelong memories together. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a vison:
...to combine my desire for food & travel with the Ayurveda Lifestyle.
...to travel the world, meet interesting faces that like to share their favorite recipes with me and teach me how to do it.
...to share & create stories & to write a new chapter.
...to find myself & root my path.
...to create a wonderful book, that holds it all: Love - for food, people, nature & most overall for myself.
I'm hoping to meet great people all over the world, and Couchsurfing is the perfect way to discover the world. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I pretty much love all kind of music... I'm in to 3 Doors Down, Kings of Leon, Ed Sheeran, Hozier... also old music...
I'm not a big TV person, since I'm always busy running choirs and doing things. But classic movies like Forrest Gump, The Notebook, Desperado, Pulp Fiction, Nothing Hill I can watch over and over again...
Books... I love to read. Unfortunately, I'm too busy to stay at one book. Right now I'm discovering all sorts of traveling books to find out which country is next and deep diving into Ayurveda.
