I've decided to leave my home of 11 years in Baltimore and take a few months off from my career to see a bit of the world. After 30 days in Southeast Asia, I'll be tooling around Australia and New Zealand for a few weeks before heading back to my hometown in Louisiana. After that, the job search begins.

Since I'm without an income until I find my next dream job, I'd like to catch the highlights of Australia and New Zealand on a pretty tight budget. I'm sure there will be a number of hostel's in the mix, but I love the idea of meeting and getting the inside scoop from locals along the way.
