I'm Maria, a Portuguese woman dreaming of travelling the world since a child. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fun fact: I created my Couchsurfing account when I was 16 because I was obsessed with my Interrail trip (still to happen). But the reason are the same: meet interesting open to welcome me and therefore my culture and personality; have a direct access to other country's culture through their natives (forget the touristic spots, tell me your favourite spot from your childhood) and, of course, save some money as a good saver that I was thought to be.

I'm a Gemini so it's hard to pick my favourites but for the movie I would say Forrest Gump and for the music Bohemian Rapsody or any Queen's songs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm that kind of people that love to do things for others (specially food) as an appreciation gesture. So here's the things I can do for you:

- Tell you nice (and true) things about yourself that you're not used to hear. I'm definitely gonna compliment your shirt in the middle of the street even if I don't know you.

-Share about Portuguese culture: the places to visit, what to do, must-eat plates and sweets, show some Portuguese music as Fado and Pimba

-Teach you Portuguese: the basics like how to say hello, where's the bathroom, one beer please, and thank you! :D

-Cook you a Portuguese or vegetarian meal! Believe me, you'll love cod, we found 101 ways of cooking it

-During a longer stay I would love to help you, if it's the case, with my marketing skills, specially content creation for social media
