Hey there! I'm Maria and 21 years young.

I currently live in Kaohsiung, Taiwan as a student. I have been in Taiwan for 1 and a half years and I live with a dog I found when I first arrived to Taiwan. Taiwan holds a very special place in my heart due to it's endless friendly people and breath-taking views. And, I can't complain about the weather, since I grew up in the cold east of the U.S.

A few things about me that I want to share: I don't drink or use drugs, I love meeting people one-on-one so I can get to know them better, I'm an avid health-junky which mean I love moving my body and putting in good fuel, and I'm really interested in learning from what surrounds me.

Currently (updated as of 1/9/19) m y friend and I are seeking a place to stay at the end of February in Osaka. We will be there from February 18th-25th and we are looking for a floor or couch to stay. We are both university students wanting to explore Osaka during our winter break. We come with good intentions and wish to meet new people local to Osaka to get to know the area better. My friend can speak some Japanese (maybe that is a bonus? ha!).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once slept next to a bison while living on Catalina Island. I spent the night in my hammock and a bison decided it was a cozy place to spend the night too. Bison are known to be aggressive and fierce but this bison was far from that.

Teach
I can teach you how to braid your hair... or sew... or some vegan dishes I like to cook... I am interested in natural homesteading so I have some knowledge and background when it comes to that.

Learn
I would like to learn about culture and experiences. I like to learn from what is around me and absorb everything like a sponge.
