About Me

it's all about movement and change... I would like to feel the earth-breath and have some unique and wonderful experiences in the world

Hey there! I'm Maria, a 24 year old student from germany... Always looking for some new and interesting impulses, that make life colourful. The world is full of exciting moments, which I would like to get to know and to share with friendly people.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

right back from the opposite part of the world... I never want to lose the feeling of being on the road... and to be able to carry all I need on my back... starting a day without knowing, where the wind is leading me, but surely knowing I'll find on my way, what I need to find, cause I'm looking for something... although I might not be aware of this fact.

Spontaneious catch up or just having a coffee together...
always up to it :)

Every single experience has been unique...
wonderful moments, shared hours... warm-hearted people, a few nice cooking sessions...

Culture, travelling, nature, literature, photography, art, selfmade stuff, music, festivals, ...

Music, Movies & Books

there's a huge variety of books, i love... and the number is rising. from pippi langstrumpf (in english: pippi longstocking) to books of jostein gaarder or hermann hesse... and i really do like poems
the best music you can have is the one, which is arising live and therefore a product of the moment... i love to visit and experience festivals... prefering those one with reggae, indie, singer/ songwriter, gypsy music... music with soul and character, which can tell a story of life, feelings, worries and hope.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

When we came back to our hostel from a midnight-walking-tour through the city of Prague... all tired - we decided not to climb the 7 floors upstairs by feet... For the first time during our Prague-trip we chose the old elevator... Together with some foreign guys. The elevator started to move but decided to stop spontaneously between two floors without any possibility for us to leave. Our first idea, the alarm-button: didn't work... It seemed, that we had to stay the whole night and even longer in a small, old elevator with less space for all of us... Some of us had the idea to sing... We started with "Help" (the ultimative beatles-song for that special situation)... Followed by other songs. It didn't need much time until we were recognized... Instead of an annoying noise by the alarm-button. Later on, we had a funny night with lots of music and new contacts.
