ABOUT ME

I love to eat, cook, and bake, and have others eat and enjoy the things I make. Speaking french is my passion, et n'hésitez pas de me contacter en Français si vous ne comprenez pas mon profil ici (:

I'm really excited to start this new chapter in my life, and to get to know my new peers. I'm fairly shy, but I can faire le fête when I feel like it. And I am known to break out some dancing when I've had too much to drink :P

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody deserves a chance to prove themselves; I don't see any reason to be rude or impolite unless there is a legitimate one. I've worked in restaurants and cafés since I was 15, so respect is pretty important to me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love languages and meeting people from different cultures. I always make an effort to be a welcoming person! While I don't actually own a couch, the metaphor is still there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in France and in Slovakia and they've all been good experiences! I need to expand my list though!

Intereses

When I can afford it, I love to travel. Even when I can't, speaking another language and looking at photos let me live vicariously in another place. I am an avid reader and writer, and an amateur baker. It's not a coincidence that I chose to study in France, famous for its pâtisseries!

Some of my favorite authors include Edith Wharton, Colette, Jane Austen, André Gide, Anne Sexton, J.D. Salinger, Mallarmé, and tons of others.

Oh man, I love lots of different genres of music. I like Ravel for classical. I love folk, lots of Bob Dylan, some Fleet Foxes and Okkervil River. David Bowie, Neutral Milk Hotel, My Bloody Valentine, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Temptations, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beirut, Brigitte, Django Django, Elliott Smith, Kate Nash, Of Montreal... and I could continue.
