About Me

We are clever, interesting, funny and friendly. My wife and I :)
My wife's name is Yara. She's an editor. She works with so clever texts, that I don't understand all this :-)
My name is Maria. I work with mentally disabled people. I'm tutor and ergotherapist.
We have a very weird cat. It's handsome freak.

Do you know Danish project "Human Library"? I think that it's very important - to meet each other, try to understand and learn how to communicate with different people. And I'm an organizer of the Russian HL. I'm one of the organizers :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hotels and hostels show the city and people as in a magazine. And real residents and their lives can only be imagined by living with them.
Well, trust of course. It's so nice to just talk and just help each other.

Interests

We want to have pretty time for travelling and for meeting different people.
I like to feel part of the new places in which I have arrived.
I'm a vegetarian. I think that the world around is beautiful and interesting. And I want to know more about it and about people around.
I have a lot of interests and haven't enough time for them. So my interests are sometimes at odds with each other. I like noise of the city - and I like silence. I'm sociable - and I like to be alone. Do you understand me?
And my lovely wife likes reading and walking. She draws bright beautiful pictures.
I like African coffee because of its sourness and coffee from Sumatra because it has a mineral flavor, like a pebble. And Yara likes coffe with milk or ice cream.
Together we are quite crasy people)

Music, Movies, and Books

"To Kill a Mockingbird" - it's a my favorite book since 9yo, when my mom read it to me. Well, what else? Neil Shubin - Your Inner Fish: A Journey into the 3,5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body, Iain Banks - Espedair street, Arthur Hailey - Wheels and Airport. That's not all, I used to read a lot of books.

I like movies less than books and theater. But "This Must Be the Place" and Sean Penn - they are amazing and make me think.

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Turkey, Ukraine
