Hello there! My name is Maria, I am originally from Italy where I study Translation and Interpreting. Since I was 14 years old i was travelling when not studying, I even lived one year abroad before starting Uni (: This year i find myself in Birmingham for an intership and one of my biggest desires is to explore UK as much as i can (: I am a really relaxed and outgoing person who enjoys friends met along the way's company, i love experiencing new things, I always push myself to try and explore as much as i can. I have many interests beside travelling: i love sports (ski, crossfit, swimming), photography, going to concerts, trying out new food and listening to music (i love concerts, of any kind!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As i mentioned before i will be in Birmingham for the next 3 months and i really want to find out more about this country, its culture, its people and all its aspects. My plan is to travel (almost) every weekend to a different city, explore it, talk to locals, try out the food, enjoying landscapes and everything that will come. I will travel mainly by my self because i think it will allow me to really appreciate these moments, plus, I love couch surfing: i decided to couch surf not because i have no money or don't want to spend them in an accomodation, but because I think the mentality behind couch surfing will improve my experience. I am looking forward to spend time with my host, attend events or just grab a drink together, explore the city with him/her if he/she would like to. During these many years of travelling couchsurfing is the type of accomodation i have been enjoyng the most and i really hope to meet many new friend again along these tre months (: ps. I will be happy to keep in touch and host at my place whoever will be in Birmingham so that i can also return the favor (: hope to see you soon guys!
