COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many friends have shared their experience in traveling with CS with me, and these have always been exciting vivid stories. Now I’ve decided that it’s time for me to share positive emotions with other people, tell others about the culture of my country and get acquainted with the foreign ones.

Interessi

Banal as it may sound, I’m really fond of traveling. Everything that is connected with culture, traditions and customs of other countries attracts me.
I'm doing Germanic studies and teach German. Thanks to my students I am developing myself and always learn something new.
I live in a most beautiful, wondrous city, I adore its architecture, canals and cosy cafes, but sometimes I get tired of the fuss of the city and take refuge in nature.
I like active leisure: swimming, cycling, long walks and the like. I take part in different cycle races which are held in summer and autumn, usually as my father and my/his friends’ supporter, but sometimes I cycle for a training with them too.

Musica, film e libri

The list of my favorite music is endless…the music I listen to depends on my mood. I can listen to almost all music genres: from rock to classical music, indie-rock, jazz…well, like literally everything! My favorite bands are Ляпис Трубецкой, Brainstorm, Кино, Океан Ельзи, Rammstein, Бумбокс to name but few.
As for literature, I prefer Russian one first of all: one can read our classics Dostoyevsky, Gogol, Bunin, Chekhov, Bulgakov over and over again and discover something new every time. Among the books which inspire me and give me food for thought there are also some German ones, especially Franz Kafka, Max Frisch, Hesse and Remarque.

I can teach German (which I’m actually doing right now) or Russian! I can tell you a lot of interesting stories about Saint-Petersburg, some legends, myths…show you the city the way its dwellers see it. I can acquaint you with Russian culture, traditions and…CUISINE (get ready, because I’m really fond of cooking!). And just share positive emotions with you, so that you have the time of your life and the best memories.
I’d like to find friends in different corners of the world, get to know their culture, traditions and cuisine, probably take a few recipes of the national dishes and make them together with you. Maybe, also learn a new language. I’m thinking about learning Spanish or Italian now, for they are incredibly beautiful.
