ABOUT ME

I find it very difficult to describe myself, not only am I growing, I am also discovering different things about myself all the time. In general, I am friendly and nice, maybe a little shy. I graduated with an environmental science degree and am now volunteering for the Peace Corps in Senegal. I work in the agroforestry extension helping my villagers compost, plant live fences, and other such gardening or forestry projects. I love doing new things and meeting new people. I love life and enjoy doing pretty much anything, except when I am hungry because then I just get grouchy. I especially love being outdoors.

I love the environment and being outdoors. I was a synchronized swimmer in college, but unfortunately there is no team in my new village of 500. I now spend my time exploring Senegal, learning the culture, teaching American culture, and trying to help improve the quality of life of my community as best I can. I also enjoy sewing, reading, running, traveling, and hiking. I worked as a research assistant for 3 summers on a cranberry bog so now I love cranberries too!
