About Me

I’m down-to-earth; looking to do some traveling. I'm doing a fellowship in D.C. this summer for two months and I’m hoping to find a semi-long/short-term couch to surf while I do my summer session.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing so that I can expand my horizons and learn from others through travel, one can really get to know themselves and gain new perspectives. I'm hoping to create life-long friends around the country and I'm looking forward to what awaits.

Interests

I’ll be working on a masters in policy management and expanding my network. I’m also interested in community development and social entrepreneurship. I love museums, thrift stores, post-it’s, and chocolate ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a huge documentary buff. I love indie movies. Read mostly nonfiction, but reading a lot of books on spirituality. Currently reading Becoming and also, Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a one way ticket to Cancun.
Came back a few months later.

Teach, Learn, Share

In college, I loved learning about the narrative paradigm; a communication theory that explains that people tell stories to make sense of their lives. I think that’s how we truly connect and in my travels, I’ve found that to be the most rewarding part of it all—connecting with individuals from different cultures and to be brought together by a story.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A fresh perspective. A domestic touch - I clean up after myself and can help around the house, too. Not above washing dishes to contribute! I can also cook a nice meal. :)

Countries I’ve Lived In

Dominican Republic, United States
