About Me

I'm a simple, nice person who loves peace and quiet but also experiencing and learning news things. I think I am quite tolerant, generous and respectfull of the others. I like to help and make myself useful.
Many people would describe me as brave, determined and also a bit strange because of the changes I've done in my life, but the truth is that I was only looking for the "right place" for me.
I'm very glad to say that I think I've found it, at least for the moment, I found the base from where I want to really enjoy life in a way that makes sense.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think it is a much nicer way to travel and visit places, sharing some time with locals instead of staying in hotels by ourselves - I usually travel with my two kids. I love to meet new people and be able to exchange a little about our lives and cultures. For my kids this is a way, among others, to understand the value of uninterested exchanges.
Naturally I would also be glad to receive some guest in our home.

Interests

I love to learn specially about people and cultures, history, sociology, psychology, gastronomy. I love eating, sleeping, reading, dancing, watching movies, cooking , travelling ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I've quit my job in Lisbon and moved to Britany France, I've seen so many movies and read so many books that it's hard to select the favorites ones. Mostly I'm interested in movies and books about different countries and cultures of which I didn't knew much before seeing / reading it, or about special or gifted people. To mention some of the last seen or read.
Movies: "Persepolis", "Head-On", "No", "Saison des femmes" (Parched), "Va, vis et Deviens", "The lifes of Others", "The Lady" , "Into the wild", "Searching for sugar man", "Invictus", "A bottle in the gaza sea", "Les Cerfs-volants de Kaboul"...

People are usually amazed with how many times I've quit my "career" and changed my life upside down, first time for a round-the-world trip which took more than a year; second time to open my own coffee shop (or bistro) in Lisbon and finally to move to France with my kids and work in agriculture.
I like moving around and I like adventure...
