I'm a 26-year-old woman, who has just recently been introduced to couch surfing. I'm really intrigued by the concept and hope to get my first surfing experiences soon. I have been travelling quite a lot the past 2 years, mostly on my own, and met some of my best friends that way. Among others, I have been studying in the US, explored many places throughout Europe, road tripped down the Californian coast and been surfing the waves of the Caribbean Sea as well as the Pacific and Indonesian Ocean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet some nice and welcoming people around the world. I like to share laughs and good conversations with other people and believe couch surfing is a great way to find new people to do that exercise with :-)

Interests

I have been a passionate equestrian during most of my life (I've mostly done cross country). Due to lack of time, I'm now more into fitness, yoga, dancing (I'm the one who's always on the dance floor) and pole fitness in particular. Besides, I love reading crime novels, testing my skills on roller skates (they are very poor!), enjoying nature, art, taking pictures, cooking (/eating...), doing nerdy stuff such as programming exciting economic models on my computer and practicing my skills as a hopefully-soon-high skilled-surfer girl-to-be ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music that's played on radio stations, but know very little about the different genres (that's why I always tell people the radio music thing instead...). I'm terrible at names of artists/songs/groups, but may recognize the song if you play it for me.

Like with music, I'm just as bad with movie titles. However, I just watched "My sister's keeper". I cried through the whole movie, but really enjoyed it. I'm a Netflix-enthusiast (and have an on/off relationship with HBO also) and am a big fan of Mad Men, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Bloodline, The Affair, Girls and likely many more.

I've always loved reading, but have neglected the reading for fun the past 5 years. This summer, however, I set as a goal to read a few chapters in a good book almost every day and it worked! Especially, I've enjoyed being introduced to Joey Moe and Sue Monk Kidd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Inviting 6 complete strangers into my home to celebrate new year's eve together, just us, without anyone knowing each other. It was so much fun!
I've also participated in the world championships in Econometrics, also really fun!

I can share dance moves, if you're up for a dance ;-)
Teach how to bake excellent chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls.
