I started my CS experiences in 2014 when traveling on a journey throughout Latin America by my self for nine months. I met a bunch of genuine people who welcomed me into their house no mater what. I fell in love with this way of traveling😊

I have a BA in Development studies and a MSc in Conflict prevention and peacebuilding. I have traveled and lived outside of Norway for some time. My last international experience was in Colombo, Sri Lanka where I worked at the Norwegian embassy. I am currently working with development aid through Caritas, working closely with partners in Sri Lanka and Uganda.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, meeting people and learning about other cultures and way of life is some of the best parts of travelling. I enjoy being inspired and challenged in my way of thinking. CS is a brilliant platform for meeting interesting people to have these experiences with. Also, I often find that the best tips of what to see/eat/do in a new place comes from the people living there.

Interests

I enjoy traveling. But I especially enjoy traveling to places that are substantially different from my own hometown, both when it comes to the people, culture and nature. In recent years I have come to enjoy the outdoors more. As a Norwegian I can finally say that I really enjoy skiing, both cross-country and downhill. l also have an interest in world politics and relations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some of my best memories are:
My exchange year in Oregon when I was 16 living with a mormon family, climbing Kilimanjaro, Holi in New Delhi, doing my fieldwork in a rural town in Sri Lanka, and traveling by my self in Latin America experiencing the warmth of the people.
