ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Mariana, an architecture brazilian student, who is studying in UK, in Dundee, Scotland, to be more precise, by the Science Without Borders programme.
I love to travel, that's why I'm here, because we students have a budget, and it's really hard to find some nice and cheap place to stay. Besides, we can get to know new people on couchsurfing experiences! :)
I try to be a funny and excited person, who is up for anything. I really love architecture and design, and that's what I'm looking for in my travels.
Not sure really how to describe myself, this is kinda awkward actually, but I think I'm not a bad person to stick and hang out with. :) Or that is just what I hope so! Haha

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to be funny and communicative, trying to learn and teach about life and other stuff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in some cities in Germany and let people surf in my student accommodation in Scotland.

兴趣

Hiking, do sketches of landscape and landmarks, take nice photographs, food and drinks, go to art galleries and museums, music.

音乐、电影和书籍

I really like movies. My favourite ones are Dogville, Drive, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and a whole lot more that would not fit here. I like some directors like Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Scorsese, David Lynch, Lars von Trier and some more.
Music is part of my life, I don't know how to play any instruments, but I would really like to learn someday! I like a lot of different kinds of rock, so it is kinda difficult to say what type of music I like. I have a lastfm account, so if you get interested, just check out: http://www.lastfm.com.br/user/marianaperiald. But my favourite band is, definetly, The Smiths. <3
And about books, I like the classic ones, like the writers Emily Brönte, Jane Austen, Dostoiévski, Ernest Hemingway, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and H. P. Lovecraft, some novels and mainly sci-fi and fiction stories, like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, and as every one in the whole world, Harry Potter and Hunger Games, A Song of Ice and Fire.
I love philosophy, so I'm into some of them, like Nietzsche and Kafka. I really enjoy comics too, actually, I'm doing one myself, but this is not that important. ;x

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Climb the top the Cul Mor, near the Loch Assynt, in Scotland and did bungee jump off a bridge in Pitlochry. Lifetime experience.
