ABOUT ME

I'm a brazilian backpacker who has all the couchsurfing clichés: I'm really open minded and I love other cultures. My first time abroad was an exchange in Canada in 2012. Today I've been to 16 countries and have flights booked to other 6.

When I'm not traveling I'm saving money for traveling, and during this period I love to present Rio (and Niteroi) to backpackers like me. Feel free to contact me if you want someone to show you around, to have a beer or just to chat.

PHILOSOPHY

For me, respect is the basis for everything. When I say I'm open minded, it also means that I do not tolerate any kind of prejudice, whatever it's based on gender, race, nationality, religion or sexual orientation. Be kind, be polite and you'll have the best experience you can get.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a huge part of my life, it showed me how incredible people can be without asking for anything in return, and how simple acts can make a difference in someone's experience. I'm here because I want to share good moments.

兴趣

Pretty much everything. Seriously. This one time in belgium I had a conversation about brazilian politics with a guy in a club, it happened again in a bar in the USA this year. But also have had really long conversations about differences in McDonalds around the world or how Brazil and Singapore have the same cultural game, but in brazil people play with their hands and in Singapore they play with their feet.

Mostly, I enjoy topics as leadership development, international relations, human rights, cultural music and food, travel and environment. I also love hiking I'm seriously into Disney and Harry Potter (no, I haven't grown at all).

I went from Russia to Finland alone, by bus, in the middle of the night, when I was 19. Didn't have the best experience though...

I love sharing knowledge of any kind. I can teach portuguese, I can cook brazilian food and play brazilian songs. I would love to hear about the place where you came from. I don't have any special skill, but I can ensure I have some really interesting random stories to share.
