I love travel and learning about language and culture. I am currently studying Portuguese but have also studied Spanish and Japanese. I am completely hooked on the language and culture of Latin America and have also visited a few locations in Asia and Europe as well as New Zealand.

I love meeting people from other countries and cultures and like to get the local perspective on locations I visit. Also my city of Canberra is often overlooked by overseas visitors despite being Australia's capital, so I like to show foreign visitors that despite it's reputation Canberra is actually a beautiful, interesting place to spend a couple of days.

I prefer alternative music, but I like a mix of everything from Latin to rock to classical.
My favourite authors are Haruki Murakami and Barbara Kingsolver and my favourite books are Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and One Day by David Nicholls.

Top of the list at this stage is riding Death Road on a mountain bike in Bolivia. Definitely a must if you're in La Paz!

As mentioned above, I would be happy to share English language skills and knowledge about Australian culture. Believe it or not, we don't drink Fosters beer and most of us don't talk like Steve Irwin!
