ABOUT ME

Im Marianne and Im a very curious girl who would like to travel the world the most she can. I love taking pictures, looking for an original angle, I communicate easily in order to share experiences and exchange ideas. I love arts, funny stories, weird situations, unexpected meeting, nice suprises !

I have already been to England, Germany, Austria, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Danemark, Swizerland, Hongaria, Tcheque Republique, Estonia, Lettonia, Croatia, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Tunisia, Maroc, Russia, Brazil, The Canary Islands,USA, Quebec, Montréal, Vancouver. I've been living 8 months in Ireland as an Au Pair girl and 8 months in Holland as an erasmus student.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to visit countries through local point of view. Touristic Guide Books are cool and necessary but it's always nice to have advices from the locals !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already did couchsurfing but that was totally unexpeted ! I was going to a festival in Bretagne (Les Transmusicales) thinking that some people I knew from summer holidays would host me without problem. They didn't come, they didn't tell me, I was homeless and far from home. I travelled by train from Nancy to Rennes, talking with my neighbour. When we arrived, his cousin welcomed us as if I was part of the invitation... At the end, because the people I was counting on didnt show up, I stayed in my train neighbour's cousin place thinking I was very lucky not being sleeping in the streets... That was in 2001...
Since then, I did couchsurfing in Samara in Russia, Berlin, in Vancouver in two different places, in the city of Québec and in Maastricht in september 2011.
