About Me

Interested in a lot of different things, mostly to do with art, yoga, music and psychology.
I have used couchsurfing only two times actually, once couchsurfing in Rome and once as a host in Berlin, and I realize that it has almost been 10 years (what the-??) These experiences were really fun though and I'd love to take a third shot at it. :-)
---

I would love to eventually host people, but in our shared flat there is just not enough space, let alone privacy at this point in time :-/ Unless you want to sleep next to our fridge I guess?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now because I am planning to go to Rome from January - March next year, working remote, and I do NOT want to stay in a hostel or Airbnb, I would muuuch rather have some good company there, to actually experience a bit of .. mundane Roman everyday life. ;)

It doesn't have to be 2 months of course, maybe 2 weeks at a time?

Interests

Singing, painting/drawing, making bad puns, watching or reading reviews of movies I‘ve never seen - and then sometimes watching them afterwards
Eating out too much. It’s on the verge of becoming a serious problem, I swear...

Music, Movies, and Books

Small, quiet or really weird movies.
Any music that manages to move me, emotionally or physically. Doesn't matter whether it's Tosca or Hadestown, Robyn or Simon and Garfunkel, Techno or Fado- it all does the trick for me, depending on the context.

I really want to read more books... Always struggle with finding one that I feel is worth my time though - and if I do I'm so eager that I'm through it in two or three days. :-(
Tips?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once saw a staging of La Boheme in this tiny opera house in the middle of nowhere for like 30 Euros - for great seats. I was really not expecting anything really, quality-wise. And I remember being absolutely FLOORED by the amazing performances, crying for 15 minutes straight after it had already ended.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could teach you some basic Yoga „moves“ or do a little Kirtan with you and your friends, if that tickles your fancy. ;-) Or perhaps draw a portrait of your favorite potted plant. I don’t know. The possibilities are endless I suppose?

(And if you take me in for more than a week or so, I will happily scrub your bathtub ;-))
