I'm Maria, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently finishing my bachelor in History.
I love travelling and really engaging with the culture and people I'm surrounded by :)
I have a big passion for cinema, literature and photography! I prefer to spend my time in nature but I love the caos of big cities.

I believe I'm a sociable person easy to talk to but I'm not expecting my host to make me company or engage in conversations if that's not what they wish. But if you do, great :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even though I love travelling I feel like sometimes its difficult to deepen my understanding of different cultures if I don't meet locals. Anthony Bourdain has this quote where he says that there's a big differente between being a tourist and being a traveller. A traveller wants to live like a local, respect its environment and not be noticed. That's how like to see myself when travelling :)
So Im couchsurfing because I want to connect with other people but also because I want to understand the place I'm in and have cool reccomendations of the best places to have a beer or go to a concert :)
