I am Maria a 23 year old girl from Denmark, currently studying a degree in Health & Nutrition. I used to live in the states from 2014/2015, where I worked as an Au Pair in wonderful DC. US will also have a very speciel place in my heart, and therefore I come back at any chance I get. Hopefully I will be able to move back when I finish my degree!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, and would love to exchange stories and life experiences. Its expensive and hard to travel when you study, but that's why I am so grateful for couch surfing, and people who are willing to open their homes.

You are more than welcome to stay at my place, if we can work it around my schedule. I live in a 2 bedroom my apartment 15 min from centrum of Copenhagen . There is bus/metro/train 5 min from me, but you are also welcome to borrow a bike - thats the way we do it in Denmark! And a helmet - people can be rather crazy on the bicycle paths ;)

I have only tried couchsurfing 1 time in Boston with a friend, but we had the best weekend and we saw the city with different eyes.

I like all sorts of music, but mostly I just listen to the songs that's being played in the radio.
Favorite movies is also a though one, but I am always good for thrillers, comedies and dramas.
My favorite book must be, A thousand splendid suns.

I left my family and comfort zone behind in Denmark to spend 12 month in the US as an Au Pair - that must be the most amazing thing I have done for my self.

As told earlier, one of my main interests in life is traveling and learning about other cultures. Therefore it would be fun to compare our lives and lifestyles. Maybe you could learn something about the small scandinavian country who invented LEGO, is famous for their pastries and not to forget, is the happiest people on earth.

I am always good at spreading good vibes and sharing laughs with other people. Furthermore you should definitely try my yummy pancakes or any other european dish(That I know how to cook of course).
