关于我
ABOUT ME
I am an outgoing person. I love making new friends and being around people. Otherwise I wouldn't be on here, right?
I have traveled a fair bit before. I've been on every continent except Africa, which is killing me haha.
I always love to explore new things and places. I have a restless bum, meaning that I can't really sit still and should be on the move most of the time.
I moved to St. Gallen in April last year. Switzerland is nothing new for me, but work is here and I was living too far away in my opinion, so I am back in the Confederation Helvetica.
I think I am kind, understanding and helpful. And a lot of other beautiful stuff that people shouldn't go saying about themselves too often.
PHILOSOPHY
"I'm saying believe in magic, you muggle." Dixit Sheldon Cooper.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a few people over that I didn't meet through CS but they did end up on my couch, so I've decided to blow this thing wide open :). Apart from that, a few CS-ers have contacted me and I've hosted them, and that led to some lovely summer evenings with lots of stories and wine :).
I'm a lot on the road myself though, so I do what I can to host people.
兴趣
Obviously I like to travel and explore new places. I love reading and writing. I have a pen pal for almost 23 years now and she serves as my (sort of) diary.
I have been living in Switzerland and Austria for 6 years and counting. I am not an extremely outdoorsy person, but I do like a hike or a snowboard / ski every once and a while. Most of all I prefer to travel, go on spontaneous weekends and have nice barbecues with friends.

音乐、电影和书籍
I can't help it. My favourite books remain the Harry Potter series *insert shame red on my cheeks*. They just so fit into my philosophy that there's a lot more out there! :)
I try to read a lot (I am failing, lately) but it's not often that a book really sticks to me. I did finish one a few days ago that really moved me (I even shed a tear, I kid you not): Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes. As someone rated it: "Enough to make a grown man cry."
As for music, my tastes are quite wide-spread, but here's to a bit of patriotism:
Marble Sounds (from Belgium). They will change your life.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
One thing? ONE? You've got to be kidding me.
I don't really like to 'list' experiences, because listing them doesn't even get close to reliving them. But for all intents and purposes, here goes (amongst others):
- marveling at the forces of nature at the Iguazu falls.
- seeing a baby panda of 1 day old in the Giant Panda Research Centre in Chengdu, China.
- Or maybe - just see panda's in general.
- hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunnan, China. Beautiful.
- walking in the dark towards the sunrise below the Torres del Paine, Chile. Most amazing sunrise in my life.
- climbing the almost 1300 steps to What Kham Seua in Krabi, Thailand at 7am, then sitting and staring at the Buddha for about an hour
- heli-rafting in Queenstown and not falling out of the boat
- watching the marvel of the 12 apostles on the Great Ocean Road
- getting up at 4am to see the sunrise at Mt. Bromo on Java
- snowboarding in the Remarkables
- typical station-life in New Zealand's South Island
- watching a whale in Kaikoura. Then later watching tons of whales in Antarctica and even later, getting close enough to tons of whales to almost touch them in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador.
- diving on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
- spending a snow season in queenstown, NZ
- drinking banana shakes on Koh Phagnan, Thailand.
- sailing the Whitsundays, Australia.
- going around Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia on a moped
- driving a quad bike on Koh Tao, Thailand.
- celebrating New Year's Eve below Sydney's Harbour Bridge
- exploring Frasier Island, Australia and conquering dingo's
- watching sunsets on Thailand's southern islands
- night swimming off Railay beach between fluorescent plankton
- doing a 15,000 ft skydive above the Remarkables in NZ.
- Swimming in the glacial lake below Mount Fitzroy in Argentina
- standing below the Petronas towers at night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- seeing the All Blacks vs. France in Eden Park, Auckland, NZ
- seeing tea plantations in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
- Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb

My enthusiasm about life :).
Haha sorry that sounds like crap.
I am sure I can tell you a lot of (maybe unnecessary, but funny none the less) stories about my own travels and my adventures around where I am currently living. I seem to be a good guide to Switzerland since I have lived there and seem to have properly explored it.
