Hi

I'm Marie, a solo french traveler.
After different trips around the world, I've recently decided to leave my job to travel to Americas with two goals.

The first one is to travel in a sustainable way without flying to reduce my carbon impact on this beautiful earth, but also to slow down, take time, and meet people with different lifestyles by considering that the trip to get to the place is part of the adventure.
As I love adventure, I arrived in Latin America by crossing the Atlantic as a crew on a sailing boat.
One month trip on the ocean.
I also hitchhike sometimes and sleep in my tent.

The second goal of this trip is to keep learning about wildlife.
I've been volunteering for a few years in different wildlife rescue centers throughout the world.
I would like to make my dream true and at some point find an opportunity to work with wildlife, especially in care and rehabilitation to allow them to be back to the wild.
This trip is also the opportunity to volunteer in different NGOs.

About me:
I'm an animal lover, vegetarian and I love to cook tasty veggie meals.
I'm a kitesurfer and I've recently started to learn surfing.
I also love to be in the wild, hike and sleep in nature.
I met so many nice people during this trip, when hitchhiking, sailing, or in the street, that the couchsurfing is for me another good way to live the local life and meet interesting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason to join CS is to have an other travel mode, with local people and make friends from different countries.
