For some reason, whenever I have had to face the overwhelming task of writing a description of myself or another human being, my brain always wants to default to making one of those poems using the letters of the persons name. You know, the poems where you write each letter on a different line, such as...

Interests

Beach-combing, tall grass, scratched legs from picking berries, boats of all sorts, hiking slowly, puttering around with pottery, camping in yellow tents, good cold winters for hockey and warm lingering summers for growing things, meals with people you love or people you may grow to love over a particularly good bowl of soup, and campfires, I am very interested in campfires. wood stoves too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Today I saw a sunfish, ate some carrot cake, and had probably the longest phone call with my grandmother. Pretty good day allround.
