My name is Marie and I'm glad to join the couchsurfing travellers community ! I love to travel and I want to discover a country with local people, it's for me the best and real way of travelling. I want to know better culture and way of life of the countries I'm visiting. I like to meet people, I'm very sociable and curious. I have a big family (3 sisters !) and a lot of friends so I like to spend time with people. I live in the French Alps so I like mountains, nature and wilderness. I would like to welcome guest but our flat with my boyfriend is under construction so we will do it later. Happy to meet you guys !

I'm on Couchsurfing because for me to travel means to meet local people to make new friends around the world and to discover the true culture and way of life of the visited country !

Interests

I'm very curious so I have many and different interests :) I love nature and to be outdoor. So I really like outdoor sports like hiking and skiing. But I also like team sports : I'm playing handball. I also like to garden. I love cinema and litterature. I love to travel : my dream is to do around the world trip ! And of course I love to spend time with my family and hang out with my friends !

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen every kinds of music : rock, pop-music, reggae and sometime classical music.
I have so many favorite movies ! I love art house and auteur independent cinema. I have a lot of favorite directors : Xavier Dolan ("Mommy", "Laurence anyways"), Alejandro González Iñárritu ("The revenant", "Birdman", "Babel"), Martin Scorsese ("Shutter Island"), Clint Eastwood ("Gran Torino", "Million dollars baby", "Invictus"), Ridley Scott ("Gladiator", "Thelma and Louise"), Luc Besson ("Léon", "Nikita", "Lucy", " The Fifth Element") and Jacques Audiard ("Un prophète", "De rouille et d'os"). But I also like great box office movies like "Mad Max Fury Road".
I have a lot of favorite books, some of them are : "White Fang" of Jack London, "The World According to Garp" of John Irving, "The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint" of Brady Udall, "Enfance" of Tolstoi. I like also french classical litterature : Molière, Balzac, Stendhal, Zola and new french authors : Danniel Pennac, Anna Gavalda.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know ;) I think the amazing thing I've done which changes my life is to do an Erasmus mobility student alone in Finland !
