Hi, we are Lucas and Marie, a french couple. We come from Strasbourg and are 24 and 30 years old. We are currently travelling for 7 months, we are travelling from France to Asia by land, without any planes. We are both vegetarian but not strict, no problem if you eat meat next to us for exemple (we eat eggs and cheese but no fish and no meat).

Marie :
I am 30, optimistic (maybe too much), curious and I like to discover news things. I love traveling, meeting friends, having fun, going to museums, art expositions, cooking and hiking!

Lucas :
He is 24 and is a social worker. He is fond of reading, playing games, basket-ball and hand-working. He likes to cook and to teach how to play chess. Lucas is a very calm, curious and open minded person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We left our appartment in France so for the moment we can not host anyone. But I'll definitely host people when we will have our own home!

We want to meet people from different countries, who has different way of living, different culture. People we can exchange with.

Interests

We both love nature, animals, drawing, swimming in lakes and hiking in the mountains.
Travelling is one of our common passions. These year we have the chance to travel through Asia. We hope to meet you during our trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are listening a lot of different styles of music.
Marie : But if I need to say my favorites band I would say The Beatles, The Cure, Bob Dylan, Ben harper, Patrice, Ben Howard, David Bowie, ....
Lucas : my favorites bands would be Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers or Les Cowboys Fringants.

Marie's favorites Movies are the Green Line, Into The Wild, Spirited Away, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and maybe Kill Bill.
For Lucas it would be Dead Poets Society or The Perks of being a Wallflower.

Marie's preferred authors is Pierre Lemaître and one of my favorite book is "L'écume des jours" from Boris Vian.
Lucas's favourites books are His Dark Materials and Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marie : I went to Moscow to live and study architecture for one year. At the end of it I travelled with the transiberien to Mongolia.. it was amazing!
And in May 2016 I walked from Roncevales (border beerween Spain and France) to Compostella, that is definitely one of the best experience I lived.

Lucas : I took part in a humanitary project in Togo during 3 months. I learned a lot on a human level, it was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach french, cook for you and share meals. Lucas can teach you chess and other board games.
Marie can teach you yoga, she will be really happy to share her passion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share about the things we discovered during my trips.
We can share in english and we hope to share with you your culture, how you are living, etc..
We can cook local or french recipes. Lucas can teach with pleasure how to play chess and Marie can teach yoga.
