Hey!

I’m Mary - a middle school teacher who loves inspiring young people from all kinds of countries, cultures, and stories. My classroom is a colourful mix of personalities and dreams and I love bringing them joy and a little spark for life✨

From September 2025 until May2026 i am travelling through Asia with my sister Anne☀️. We are trying to make all the way from Indonesia to Germany without taking a plane but hitchhiking, by bus or ferries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because of that feeling afterwards -
The “wow, I would’ve never experienced this without another human opening their door for me”:))
Also, I love collecting random facts about our planet, sharing laughter (the one language we all speak fluently🙃) and enjoying moments that can’t be planned.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m a fan of “first times” - the kind that stay in your heart forever, like catching my first wave while surfing, climbing my first volcano, my first hitchhiking adventure and a completely crazy 1000km scooter road trip across a gorgeous island.
