My name is Marie and I was born and raised in Germany. I study psychology in my 5th Semester.
I learned English and French in school, both in “intensive courses”. Languages fascinate me and I enjoy speaking them!
My parents are from Poland therefore I am currently trying to improve my Polish.

Some information about my personality:

I am very open-minded and my principle guideline when it comes to meeting new people is “Don’t judge a book by its cover, you might miss some really great content!”
My friends often describe me as a good listener, but I am a good “talker” either when I am fascinated or passionate about something.

Reading is something I enjoy a lot. In my perception books can teach you a great deal because they tell you stories you probably wouldn’t experience yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and experience other lifestyles and cultures. I belive traveling is about meeting other people with different ideas!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste of music is … indefinable.

I like most genres, but I noticed that I enjoy listening especially to music touching either my heart or my mind.
For the “heart” I love playing movie soundtracks (not a genre in particular). I think this helps me relaxing and processing my emotions and feelings.
My mind on the other side enjoys complexity and great lyrics! If I find something to be interesting, I can’t be stopped in analysing it…

My favourite book ist George R.R. Martins "A song of ice and fire".

I like reading fantasy novels, however I found many classics to be very interesting as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two Years ago I couch-surfed through Norway, Sweden and Finland for three weeks with a friend of mine (Marla). I had an amazing time meeting some members of the couchsurfing community!
