Hello, I'm Marie

I used to see travelling as a getaway from 'real life' but I now see it as my opportunity to gain new experiences, memories and learn more about different cultures, as well as people. If you value experiences and people over material things then we'll get along great.

Despite working in law I have a creative mind and soul. I enjoy writing plays, songs, singing, learning how to play the guitar and acting.

Really, I simply want to connect with and share experiences with people from around the world and create great memories.

I tried 'with locals' a couple of times last year and really enjoyed eating and hanging out with locals. Naturally, I saw CS as an opportunity to extend that type of experience further.

The best way to experience different cultures is from a local's point of view. That's not to say that I don't love the touristy stuff too. When I'm travelling, by day you'll find me in museums, on walking tours or people watching in a local cafe. By night, I'm either in a bar or club enjoying the company of others, having conversations, dancing or having a lovely meal indoors and great conversation.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I did a last minute trip to San Francisco to meet an old friend.

Spontaneous trip to Maurituis for 3 weeks. Booked the tickets two days before flying on Christmas Eve.

Finding a weird but wonderful bar in Prague with a group of couchsurfers.

Partying in Paris till 7am and getting the metro home and seeing people heading to work. Thats happened a couple of times.

Exploring Belleville at 7am after a night out

At university I used to model on the side. I had a beach shoot in the prettiest fabrics, barefoot, sand....only problem is that it was the middle of November! Skill an awesome experience.

Heading to a club night with a bunch of strangers and having one of the best nights ever and being introduced to new music
