Hi, I’m Marie. I’m a 20-years-old nurse from Germany on my first big travel. I started my journey on August 22nd in Auckland and stay in New Zealand until October 31st, traveling both islands.

I love being in the nature and hiking (I’m known for instant excitement as soon someone mentions nice walks), any kind of sports and enjoy eating together and having a chat - whether it’s cake and tea or pasta and wine.

I’m open minded, relaxed and love good, deep and/or funny conversations.

I also know that dirty dishes don’t just magically disappear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying in Hostels you meet lots of backpackers (most of them are Europeans) which is nice but I really want to get to know the Kiwi mentality and way of life.

I can tell you a lot about german language and culture (for example our passion for sparkling water) and if you missed out on ballroom dancing classes I can teach you Salsa or Walz.
