Hey! I'm Marie. I'm an open-minded girl who wants to see the world and meet people.

Currently travelling with my sweet boyfriend Mihkel (31). He is tall and I'm short, we look funny together and we are fun to be around.

This summer me and Mihkel went from Estonia to Romania by hitchhiking. It was the coolest trip ever, we met so many awesome and generous people everywhere. Ever since we came back to Estonia I could not wait to make plans for another trip. I took a gap year from my BA studies in university to just go somewhere. So we went to France! We lived in Nantes for about 4 months and worked as painters for our friends. Then we spent some good time in the countryside with lovely friends who are creating their garden to grow food for themselves.

I love the idea of couchsurfing and I have met wonderful people doing this. CS would help us a lot since we are trying to reach our destination on a low budget...

Interessen

I have been vegan for almost a year and a half. When I am staying at your place I will buy vegan products (mostly fresh vegetables) and cook delicious vegan meals for you. Although I have no problem if other people around me eat non-vegan food. My boyfriend Mihkel is mostly vegan, but I would say he is an omnomnivore ;)

We are not 100% freegans, but it is our goal. The idea of being more enviromental-friendly appeals to us. That's why we chose travelling by bus, train and hitchhiking instead of travelling by plane. At home we are trying to reduce our waste. Which leads to dumpster diving. And sharing meals with or friends, we like to call it "dumpster gourmet".

Mihkel is a really good photographer. I have so much to learn from him in analog photography. So we can shoot you and your pets if we can sleep on your couch. Win-win situation.
