ABOUT ME

I am the type of person that wants to try everything, do everything, learn everything. I want to know ALL the languages, which means I can speak a little of a bunch of languages, but I'm not yet fluent in any one in particular. I constantly fall in love with new things and people. I think people are amazing; there's always someone new and impressive, doing something unique that I've never even considered. I love finding that. I am good at thinking on my feet, and I am at my best when I'm surrounded by things that are completely unfamiliar.

PHILOSOPHY

Its not the ends, its the means that are truly important. Life not after-life. Striving in vain, is perhaps the most noble thing you can do. I might be the most optimistic cynic you've ever met. The connections between us are the reason we're here.

Okay. This story is completely serious, 100% true, and totally without exaggeration. I swear.

I went shark diving off the coast of South Africa. While I was in the cage,the Great White came around the boat and breached, and bit the side of the cage where I was. I literally had the jaws of a 4 meter (11 or 12 foot) Great White shark 12 inches from my face. Most exhilarating moment of my life.

I can teach you English (I was an ESL teacher in China)
I can also teach you to knit, how to use a photography dark room, how to play pool, how to flip quarters from your elbow and catch them, and how to say "Thank you" in about 20 different languages.
I would like to learn how to surf, sail and scuba dive, and anything else you want to teach me.
