I'm always busy with different projects (or dreaming). I'm adventurous. When life goes too fast, I slow it down. I plan and undertake new and exciting activities. It works! Besides traveling I work. I have lunches and dinners with friends. Yesterday, I had a dinner with 8 friend from four different counties. I do yoga, I meditate (when I don't forget to do it), I cycle, I swim and I love going to the movies.

I'm really good at eating cooked food with a lot of people and cooking food and I love cooking, vegan and vegetarian meals. I'm allergic for all dairy products (cheese and cheese products; milk and milk products). So I like to cook meals from the Middle East, India, Indonesian or Italy or Spain, and from the Netherlands ;-) and I enjoy eating this food with a large group. In Japan I took cooking classes. On Lombok Indonesia, I worked in a traditional restaurant during a holiday.

I'm a good swimmer and I guess, with two masters and jet a post grad, and another degree, I ought to be good at something else.....uhm...at traveling? :-) So I can cook, swim and travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly I've hosted couchsurfers without being on Couchsurfing. Friends and international students call me if someone can stay for a short time (or longer -up to a month-), or my kid (27) ask if someone from Mexico , India or the US can stay. So I've had couchsurfers from Bosten US, Scotland, South-Africa... without beeing on this website. But... Now I am planning my traveling. So I would like to couchsurf myself.

I love to go to the movies, arthouse films. I go at least ones a month with my friends who also love arthouse films. I love to go to the theatre, to the NDT (Nederlands Dans Theater), to concerts. But I don't go that often.

I' didn't do anything but...
While I was swimming, once a manta ray came swimming next to me.
It was like being over taken by a curious house..
Yes, I was scared although I know they are friendly, but they are enormous!
