I'm Marieke, 21 years old, and I live witb my dog in a small appartment in Groningen, The Netherlands. I'm working, taking care of my dog and playing rugby (the main things in my life at the moment..:) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm going to travel by myself, and that's how I came to this site. I hope that I can find a stay for a couple of days when I'm on my way so I can learn more about culture and the non-touristic places, en that I can be a host for other people in the future. I'm sure it would be fun.

Interests

I like animals, especially my own dog and the sheep in my backyard. I'm interested in arts, music and ancient cultures. I love nature, especially (old) forrests. I also like my own grown cactuses:D

Music, Movies, and Books

I like watching movies like Lord of the Rings, Natural born killers, Pulp Fiction, Born of hope.. And many others!
Books I am reading are from writers as Robin Hobb, Tolkien (LOTR) and Christopher Paolini (Eragon), most fantasy as you can see.
I love music! Nowadays I am listening to (old) rock and power metal, with bands as Pink Floyd, Elvenking and Gaia Epicus.

I would like to show people some of the beautiful paths I found around here, and show some of the city nearby or the nice villages and their artists. Or play some old( dutch) game. Cooking Dutch food is my specialty;P
I'd love to learn things I do not already know, be original!
