ABOUT ME

Hello I am Mariel. I am a girl from the US/Mexico. I speak fluent English, Spanish, a bit of French and a bit of German. I like to travel, try different food and experiences. I love all types of music including but not limited to: Electronic, Jazz, Metal, Rock, Classic, 80s, Oldies. I like to spray paint and make stencils on my free time. I love to cook as well but my specialties are definitely Mexican food. I am very outgoing and would like to meet some great people.

PHILOSOPHY

And tomorrow everything will look very different. Und morgen sieht alles ganz anders aus. I decided one day, while having an awesome job and friends back home, that i wanted something different. Yes I had everything, but I was still missing something. I decided to just get up and go. I appreciate life more now that I don't have what I used to. I am just happy to be alive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I am traveling. I am currently in Paris. Next stop: Stuttgart for a two week job training.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For Carnival I went to Cologne and stayed with a CouchSurfing host thanks to a friend that requested his place. The experience was amazing and we helped him clean his place before we left. Overall great experience.

My 2nd and 3rd Couchsurfing experiences took place in Amsterdam and both times were great.

Interests

I enjoy learning new languages, traveling, making stencils, playing the guitar, spray-painting, trying new food, cooking, partying. I also love love love going to concerts/music festivals/ art festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Comedy, some good horror movies, action. Psychological thrillers.
Music: I can go from The Doors to Children of Bodom to Boys Noize to Depeche Mode to randomness. All music.
Books: Right now i'm on the 5th installment of A Song of Ice and Fire.
