ABOUT ME

Pour les infos en francais, va falloir me faire signe parce que la jsuis trop paresseuse pour touuuuut traduire... Mais bon pour faire un gros topo vite fait : j'me prend pas la tete et j'adore rencontrer de nouvelles personnes! Voilaaaa, tres simple!

Okidokiii apparently I haven't taken the time to update my profile cause I just went through it and it sounds pretty nerdy... So I'll try to make it short and sweet... People call me Marie, I absolutely ADORE travelling (which I guess is something we all have in common if we're on Couchsurfing.com). Some people call me crazy, some others say I'm special (which really just means crazy but in a nicer way).
Apart from that, I love sports, I have 2 brothers that I adore and parents that I would kill for... Basically just a great family and great friends... I'm always down (means... interested i guess) to meet new people who actually have something to say and who like to party it up a bit. I love sports and I always get mushy whenever I see a kid or a dog (aaaaand my friends make fun of me because of that... what-evaaa). Aaaand finally apparently I'm openminded and sociable... But I guess thats for you guys to find out :)

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem... You all know what it means and if not, well its basically to live your live to the fullest because you never know what could happend

Hakuna Matata. Yep, love the Disney movies. And I recently understood that stressing about everything doesn't help so I try to take things as easy as possible

Never regret anything. Regrets aren't part of my life. What I've done in the past has made me what I am today and since I wouldn't change anything about my current situation, well I don't regret anything :D

Mmmm... for now I wish I had an available couch but I'm kind of squatting my friends places right now (nooo I'm not a hobo), I don't think it'll be possible to crash at my place, but as I said previously, I'm always up for meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures, so I'm cool with going for coffee and drinks and all thaaaat

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was told about couchsurfing last year (in early 2008) before I was off to a 6 month trip in Europe. My friend Jade and I then started the whole couchsurfing exeprience. Not being able to host people, we were the ones being hosted :) And I must say, it really is one of the coolest experiences ever. You get to meet so many people that, maybe, you wouldnt normally hang out with and most of them were very down to earth and open minded so the discussions were great and some others were real party animals so partying was insane as well... Basically I guess you could say I totally fell in love with Couchsurfing and for my next trips, I'm definately going to try to meet up with couchsurfers!

Intereses

Well I've pretty much said them all in the 'All About You' [yeah sorry I edited my profile since and removed all that - too lazy to change this so yeah... cheers] section but here it goes again...
I'm a goofball, I don't take myself too seriously
I love (love love love) to travel, it's my passion
I love animals
I love kids. I babysat for years and still do because I love kids. I'm not a freak, I swear.
I'm pretty friendly. I usually don't make people uncomfortable, I try my best to be as nice as possible with everybody because, well... I just don't see the point in acting like a bitch
The 4 things I love most: Family/Friends... well basically people in general, Meeting new people, my music, dancing and exploring new countries (of course, of course...)
and oh I just realized that's 5 things...well whatever, deal with it
Apart from that... well there's a bunch of stuff I'm interested in... But in general anything that's new to me I pay extra attention :D

Movies : Good Will Hunting, Coach Carter, SWAT, John Q, Blood Diamond, Borat (ahahah), Gad Elmaleh and a bunch of movies I can't think of right now cause I'm retarded

Music : Dancehall, Rock, Hip Hop, House, Techno, RnB, Soul, Jazz, Rai, Zouk, Rap... seriously everything...

Books : Les Misérables, Un dimanche à la piscine à Kigali, A long way Gone (definitely recommend that one) and I'm a girl so all those UsWeekly and InTouch, I can't get enough... I'm a sinner.

Algo increíble que he hecho

The most amazing thing I've done so far is, by far, travelling. I'm crazy about travelling and wish I could just explore all the countries, communities, religions, points of view...

Other than that, probably going to Morrocco for a month on my own without my parents knowing (ok thats not amazing, its stupid i know... but hey im still alive so i guess i did something alright)

And another thing I'm pretty proud of is that I went skydiving :)

Oh and one thing I'm proud of (on a personal level though cause I'm usually not that spontaneous) is piercing my tongue on a ''spur of the moment'' kinda mood... So yeah had it for a couple of weeks and still stop sometimes and thing ''Holy Shit, I have a tongue piercing''... Anyways some of you might think I'm a freak (you're not wrong) and maybe some others get it... lOL

Well I know I will learn but I'm not really the type to plan what I want to learn. I just go with the flow and hope I'll meet interesting people!

As to what I can teach people... That REAAALLY is for you to tell me...
