ABOUT ME

(New to the Yakima area due to a significant other's job change. Wow it's pretty here!)

I am an introverted knitter. As long as I am making things or working on something substantial then I am content most of the time. I very much enjoy getting to know people and building meaningful relationships.

I've had a myriad of professional experiences, but have most recently spent the last two years working as a web coordinator and social media curator in local tv news. I have to be very passionate about what I'm doing professionally, and I've been lucky to have jobs in which I very much believed in the work and felt compelled to make a difference. I have been selling knitwear locally and online as a means of supplemental income for years and it has led me to many creative, independent business owners with interesting ideas. I love ideas, but I've learned that following through with them is an uphill climb.

My hope is that surfers feel welcome and comfortable during their stay and that I am able to communicate properly with hosts and surfers alike. Hopefully, you do not find my sarcastic sense of humor too clumsy. Fair warning! ;)

Also, chances are I'm in love with your pet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite music from the past year came from Pusha T, Julia Holter, The Beths, Parquet Courts, SOPHIE and soooooo many others.

I don't really have any favorite films per se so I'm open to suggestions from movie buffs.

I read quite infrequently but one book I would highly recommend is A Piece of Cake by Cupcake Brown.
