Hello World! I am Mariet Haverkamp and I live in a small village near the coast with my loving boyfriend & two kids.
I love adventures, exploring beautiful landscapes & meeting people from around the world.
Travel does not have to be overseas. We can have grand adventures in our own backyard.
The important thing is to take the time to break free from the routine and try something new, it's so cool!

Travelling teaches you to stop focusing on the materialistic things. Your life can fit into a backpack or panniers,
and whether you have a fancy T-shirt or not is irrelevant on the road.

''Floortje to the end of the world'' is a Dutch television program.
The program follows Floortje who travels to a remote destination to make a portrait of people who live in a relatively isolated corner of the world. For that she walks with them for a couple of days to find out what their motivations are and what it is like to live in such a secluded place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in the Africa Classic. A sponsor MTB tour (400 km in 6 days) around Mnt.Kilimanjaro for charity: Amref Flying Doctors.
