About Me

Greetings fellow travelers! I'm Marija, a passionate individual on a journey to become a software engineer. Technology is my playground, and I find sheer delight in exploring its vast landscapes. When I'm not immersed in code, you'll often find me in the digital realm battling zombies in my favorite video games or indulging in cinematic adventures. Beyond the screen, I thrive on an active lifestyle, from hitting the gym to horseback riding, swimming, running, bicycling, and hiking. Nature is my sanctuary, especially the sea – a love instilled in me since I first experienced the warmth of August, the month of my birth.

My heart beats for animals, and I'm fascinated by the intricacies of veterinary science. As an extrovert, I relish in laughter and seek joy in every moment. Connecting with people is my forte; I'm always up for new friendships and cultural exchanges. Hanging out with friends is my preferred pastime, and I believe in making the most of every opportunity to learn and grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've embarked on the Couchsurfing journey to blend my love for exploration with meaningful connections. As a traveler and aspiring software engineer, I believe that the best way to understand the world is by sharing experiences with fellow adventurers. I'm eager to open my doors to like-minded individuals who appreciate the beauty of cultural diversity, exchanging stories, and forging connections that transcend borders.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My ears resonate with a diverse range of tunes. From the rhythmic beats of electronic music to the soulful melodies of classic rock, my playlist is a fusion of genres. I appreciate artists who push boundaries and create a symphony that resonates with emotions.

Movies:
As a cinephile, I find joy in the magic of storytelling on the silver screen. Zombie games aren't the only place I encounter the undead - zombie movies also have a special place in my heart. Beyond that, I enjoy exploring various genres, from thought-provoking dramas to action-packed adventures. If you have any movie recommendations, I'm all ears!

Books:
In the realm of literature, I am an avid reader with a penchant for both fiction and non-fiction. Whether it's diving into the dystopian worlds of science fiction novels or unraveling the complexities of the human mind through psychology literature, I'm always on the lookout for captivating reads. Feel free to share your favorite books, and let's exchange literary adventures!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the tender age of 13, I had the extraordinary privilege of witnessing the miracle of life as I helped my beloved dog Lily deliver a litter of 10 adorable puppies. It was an awe-inspiring moment that left an indelible mark on my young heart.

As Lily's loyal companion, I took on the role of a makeshift midwife, providing comfort and support during the entire birthing process. From the first signs of labor to the arrival of each precious pup, I was there, offering reassurance to Lily and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the new arrivals.

The experience was not only a lesson in responsibility but also a testament to the profound connection between humans and animals. Witnessing the resilience and instinctual care that Lily exhibited throughout the process deepened my appreciation for the wonders of nature.

This unforgettable chapter in my adolescence sparked a lifelong love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. It taught me the value of compassion, patience, and the beauty that can unfold when we embrace the extraordinary moments life has to offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

In the spirit of mutual growth, I'm here to share my experiences and knowledge. Whether it's swapping tech insights, discussing the intricacies of game strategies, or sharing tales from our respective journeys, I'm all in. I'm equally enthusiastic about absorbing the wisdom of others, learning about new cultures, and expanding my horizons. Let's create a space where we can teach, learn, and share, fostering a community of global wanderers bound by curiosity and friendship.

Looking forward to meeting you on this exciting journey!
