Hi! I am Maria del Mar, or Marimar, or Mary like my friends call me. I am a World Citizen, I actually have a degree in Tourism because of how much I love traveling. I was born in Tucuman, Argentina, a little town where Argentina's Independence was declared from Spain in 1816. Ironically, I come from a Spanish family who migrated to Argentina in the early 1900s, like many other families in my town. I love my culture, but I also love culturally diverse environments. I am very curious of other lifestyles and traditions from around the world. I have been very lucky to visit many places, but I am convinced that every day is a new opportunity to connect and learn more about the people in other corners of the planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I just loved the idea. The concept is fantastic, although I have very little personal experience on this site, I have done this on my own a few times and I can certainly confirm that this is one of the best if not THE best way to connect with other cultures resulting in a very interesting and productive yet healthy exchange.

I love to travel to observe and appreciate how people from around the world live. I usually thrive in culturally diverse environments, with high tolerance thresholds and an attitude of progress and understanding. I also have a passion for photography, although I am an amateur, I love capturing places and nature's beauty with my camera; but most of all, I enjoy connecting with people, making new friends and creating wonderful memories in each place I visit.
