After travelling and living abroad for some time driven by my passion for other cultures and languages (especially Middle Eastern), I settled for 9-5 office work to have some stability in my life, but my heart still yearned for adventures and meeting people from everywhere. So, trying compromise, I still keep my stable job, but use every single free day given for travelling and making up what I'm missing had I chosen another path. :) I'm still not sure if it's the right choice or if I'll be doing it forever. Yes, it sounds like cliché, but life is about enjoying the journey, not about reaching the destination. Or my version: life is one big mess.
I don't know what else to say. I like kind people, I like intelligent people, I especially admire a good sense of humour :) I hate arrogance and taking things for granted. I like good company as much as I enjoy being on my own. But with red wine, I never really feel alone :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Well, it's what everyone says, it's not about free housing (although, let's be honest, not having to pay also matters quite a bit), but meeting new people, learning about a culture or cool places from a local or, why not, from someone like yourself. I personally always feel richer having couchsurfed. (And not because of the money I saved not paying for a hotel.) I remain friends with people who have hosted me and will always be ready to help them whenever I have the possibility. I highly appreciate someone who opens the door of their home (or their heart, to be romantic:)) to a total stranger and dedicates their time and energy to make a stranger feel good.
