Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Marina (she/her) and I joined Couchsurfing during the time I lived in Kigali. I am a feminist medical anthropologist and very interested in Yoga studies which is why I also decided to become a Yoga teacher. On this path, I met a beautiful soul who became not only my best friend but also my partner and travel buddy for India where I was conducting research for my Master's thesis two years ago..
I love dancing, especially HipHop, Salsa and Swing, hiking, nature, music, doing Yoga, and cooking with a lot of spices. Besides of that I love discussions, sharing spirits and I am passionate about sunsets 😍
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet a lot of people with different backgrounds and cultures. Travelling is a big deal in my life and I think couchsurfing is really cool, because you get the opportunity to experience a place like a local.
I need to know secret places for amazing sunsets ;)

Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more about every single country and I would love to improve my language skills.
I can teach yoga, cooking, German, a bit Kinyarwanda or Spanish.
I like to share food, discussions, experiences. Wherever I go I am making sure that I will see nice sunsets or sunrises.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you a lot about east africa, because I lived in Rwanda for 12 month and travelled through Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Furthermore, I can share my experiences of traveling in Colombia, India or Middle America with you.
I love to try different kind of lifestyles, I am a foodsaver and I try to avoid plastic, palmoil etc. and can tell you more about these ideas. One thing I hate the most is throwing food.
