About Me

Hi everyone, I'm a 21 year old Psychology (and Ethnology/Social Anthropology) student from Germany. I live in the small student town Tuebingen with my three amazing flatmates. My place is small but I'm happy to share it with you and show you my hometown.

During breaks I try to travel as much as I can, there's still so many countries I want to go to. Like India, Sri Lanka, Israel, Iceland, Ireland, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, pretty much all of Central and South America, Eastern Europe... the list is endless. :)

I love to have intense conversations about the world and everything even when I'm not the most outgoing, talkative person. I guess I prefer talking about something meaningful than just superficial smalltalk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've travelled a lot with Couchsurfing, Servas (which is basicallly the same) or Workaway (help exchange) and had the best experiences so far. I love to travel with Couchsurfing as you always get the feeling of having a friend wherever you go. The experience is so different from just staying in Hostels all the time.

Interests

I love to spend time at home, alone or with my friends or flatmates, reading, writing, cooking, doing arts and crafts or making music (I play the piano and I'm learning to play the guitar).
I also spend a lot of time studying (of course), working (as a research assistant for psychological experiments) or going out with my friends.

I do some sports, like running, yoga or dancing but I also focus on working on my thoughts and practice meditation and mindfulness.
I love to dance, play cards or any games or just spend time outside (especially in summer).
And even more I love to learn new stuff, new languages, new recipes, new skills. I'm really curious about almost everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC plays a huge role in my life, I'm almost always listening to music. My favourite music genre is Rock, especially Bluesrock or Progressive, but I'm also open towards other genres like Raggae, Hip Hop, Metal, Classical or World Music. I guess there's good music to find in almost every genre.

Some of my favourite artists are the Beatles, King Crimson, Cream, Blind Faith, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Jerry Lee Lewis or Jimi Hendrix. As for Hip Hop I love the old Eminem stuff, the Hilltop Hoods and Dilated Peoples.
For Indie it's the Kooks, Phoenix, the Mystery Jets, alt-J, the Shins...
The rest ranges from Metallica to Chopin, and includes Manu Chao, Xavier Rudd or World Music Artists whose names I can't even pronounce. :))

BOOKS I really recommend are On The Road (Jack Kerouac), First They Killed My Father (Loung Ung) and The Dark Side Of The Moon (Martin Suter). I also love to read travel reports or about philosophical or psychological issues...

MOVIES I loved are Leon The Professional, Pulp Fiction, Stars Wars (except for the prequels), Back To The Future, Into The Wild, Ray, Forrest Gump, Fight Club...

TV SHOWS I got hooked on were Friends, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Narcos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and a lot more (I spent way to much time procrastinating on essays last semester)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can share time, conversations, thoughts, stories. I would love to get to know you and I guess we can always learn from each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some German culture (don't expect too much of it though), some food, we can go out, I can show you around or whatever we're up to. Of course I will share my place, even if it's jsut a mattress on the floor.
Tuebingen is an amazing little town with a buzzling student life, so there's always something going on.
