One of the reasons I enjoy Kyiv is it's openness and hospitality to international community. I sincerely foster the idea of establishing close contact with people from multiple cultural backgrounds who luckily happened to come over to Ukraine probably willing to make friends with locals. I'm eagerly looking forward to socializing since that's the greatest way to bring out the best in each other's culture.

As far as being open-minded and tolerant is coupled with respect and kindness, such cross-cultural interaction would be a delight for everyone regardless of country you live in.
